Jack Lodge, President

Jack Lodge, PresidentJack Lodge is the President of Global Capacity, responsible for all aspects of strategy and execution for the company. He has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and telecommunications. As President, Jack has driven consistent, double-digit organic growth while expanding the company’s industry-leading One Marketplace™ platform. Under his leadership, the number of customers and suppliers participating in One Marketplace has grown steadily, while the company continues to deliver innovation that fulfils its brand promise of Connectivity Made Simple™.  Jack joined Global Capacity in 2006 via the acquisition of CentrePath, Inc., a privately-held network management and engineering company where he served as General Manager, with responsibility for all aspects of CentrePath’s managed services business. Prior to joining CentrePath’s predecessor company, GiantLoop, Jack held several leadership positions in the IT organization at Nortel Networks, where his responsibilities included network architecture and strategy. He joined Nortel via the 1998 acquisition of Bay Networks, where he held a number of IT management positions. At Bay Networks, Jack led the IT infrastructure integration following the 1994 merger of Wellfleet Communications and Synoptics Communications that created Bay Networks. Prior to Wellfleet / Bay Networks, Jack owned and operated a regional network services and maintenance business, distributing and supporting technology from multiple manufacturers. He began his career with AT&T in 1989 in a sales role. Jack holds a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross, and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.  He resides in the Boston area with his family.

Patrick Hannon, Chief Revenue Officer

Patrick Hannon, Chief Revenue OfficerPatrick Hannon is Chief Revenue Officer of Global Capacity, responsible for all aspects of revenue generation for the company including Business, Wholesale, and Channel sales.  Patrick is a network and IT infrastructure executive with over 25 years of experience providing sales leadership to teams in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Prior to joining Global Capacity, Patrick was Chief Marketing Officer and President at CloudScale365, Inc. where he had responsibility for sales, marketing and product development.  Prior to CloudScale365, Patrick held the position of Senior Vice President, Wholesale and Carrier Services at Earthlink where he grew the fiber network and reseller channel business.  Prior to Earthlink, Patrick held several sales and leadership roles at Excel Communications, Comtel Systems Technology, Inc and PCCW Global. Patrick has successfully built and led highperformance sales organizations delivering growth thru direct and indirect channels.  Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Maryland, College Park, and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He currently lives in the Greater Nashville area with his family.

Ray Whinery, Chief Service Operations Officer

Ray Whinery, Chief Service Operations OfficerRay Whinery is the Chief Service Operations Officer of Global Capacity, responsible for all aspects of service operations for the company including service delivery, customer support, field operations, service management and core network support.  Ray has over 30 years of operations and engineering experience in telecom, cable, wireless and data networking.  Prior to joining Global Capacity, Ray was Vice President of Network and Technical Operations at Zayo Group where he had responsibilities for architecture, engineering, implementation and ongoing operational support for Ethernet services.  Prior to Zayo, Ray held several technical and operations leadership roles at American Traffic Solutions, tw telecom, Time Warner Communications and US West where he held  leadership roles ranging from building and leading engineering and operational organizations to general management responsibility. Ray has successfully led organizations through significant growth in his previous roles resulting in improved service delivery intervals, reduced repair timeframes and improving the overall customer experience.     Ray holds a BSEE degree from Arizona State University and resides in the Denver area with his family.

Tony Thakur, Chief Technology Officer

Tony Thakur, Chief Technology OfficerTony Thakur is Chief Technology Officer of Global Capacity, responsible for all aspects of the One Marketplace™ network strategy, planning and operations.  He has over 25 years of experience in telecommunications engineering including architecture, network planning, deployment, capacity management and sales engineering. Prior to joining Global Capacity, Tony was Vice President of Engineering & Technology at TelePacific Communications, where he was responsible for Network Planning, Engineering and Architecture of IP, Voice, Optical, Ethernet and Network Security technologies.  Tony was instrumental in the network upgrade of the MPLS core and Ethernet backhaul, aggregation and switching. Tony’s vision and strategy led to the development of next generation service orchestration capability for new network products including SD WAN and Universal CPE. Prior to TelePacific, Tony held the position of EVP of Engineering and Operations at CENX, Inc., where he was responsible for designing, deploying and operating Carrier Ethernet exchanges around the world.  Before CENX, Tony held several network leadership roles architecting and deploying networks for tw telecom, where oversaw of the operations of IP, VoIP, SS7 & Ethernet Networks and Network Security, Sprint and MCI. Mr. Thakur holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from the Florida Institute of Technology as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.  He currently resides in the greater Denver area with his family.

Greg Hough, Senior Vice President, Network Strategy

Greg Hough, Senior Vice President, Network StrategyGreg Hough is the Senior Vice President, Network Strategy at Global Capacity, with responsibility for the architecture and design of the One Marketplace network, along with leading the sales engineering and carrier relations functions. He has over 18 years of experience in electronics and telecommunications. Greg joined Global Capacity in 2006 via the acquisition of Global Capacity Group, Inc., a privately held, systems integration company, where he served as Senior Vice President of Operations, with responsibility for all aspects of Global Capacity Group's managed services business. Prior to joining Global Capacity Group, Greg was a Senior Project Manager at Enron, where his responsibilities included network architecture and strategy. He joined Enron in 2000 as part of the Broadband Services organization, transitioning later to Enron Corp., where he served on the post-petition estate management team before joining Global Capacity Group in 2004. Prior to Enron, Greg held engineering positions at Bloomberg, where his responsibilities included the design and build-out of a private ATM network, and at CSC, where he supported multiple government contracts, including communications support for Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and NASA. Greg is a United States Veteran, beginning his career in the US Navy, where he served as an Avionics Technician in support of the P-3 Orion platform.  Greg holds a B.A. from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. He resides in the Houston area with his family.

Cornelia Pool, Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer

Cornelia Pool, Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer Cornelia Pool is Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of Global Capacity, responsible for all aspects of software systems, knowledge management, business intelligence, and IT services. She has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and 15 years of experience in the telecom industry. Prior to joining Global Capacity, Cornelia served as MegaPath’s SVP and CIO and was a key driver in the development of systems automation and modernization, creating an unparalleled experience for customers and improvements in business scalability and operations. Cornelia joined MegaPath in 2010 via the acquisition of Covad Communications, a network service provider who owned and operated the largest national broadband network, where she served as CIO, with responsibility for Covad’s information technology strategy and transformation of the business through high levels of automation. Prior to joining Covad, she worked in numerous analytical and programming capacities within the retail and government sectors. Cornelia holds a diploma in Electronic Data Processing and Information Technology from the Central University of Technology, in the Free State province of South Africa. She moved to the U.S. in 1999 and currently resides in the San Jose area with her family.

Vic Pierni, Chief Financial Officer

Vic Pierni, Chief Financial OfficerVic Pierni is Chief Financial Officer of Global Capacity, responsible for all of the company’s financial, administrative and human resources activities. Vic has over 25 years of financial management and mergers and acquisitions experience within the software, high-tech and financial advisory sectors. Prior to Global Capacity, Vic was Executive Vice President and CFO at Verivo Software, an enterprise mobile application platform provider. While at Verivo, he built and developed the company’s financial, legal, administrative and human resources functions, and helped drive significant annual business growth. Prior to Verivo Software, Vic was CFO at financial services technology provider ITG Solutions Network (formerly The Macgregor Group, Inc.). While at Macgregor, Vic was instrumental in developing the company’s finance infrastructure to support its rapid growth, culminating in the company’s $250 million acquisition by ITG (NYSE: ITG). Prior to Macgregor, he held senior positions at CMGI and KPMG. At KPMG, he directed numerous audits as well as merger and acquisition advisory projects for private equity and strategic acquisition clients. Vic was recognized by Boston Business Journal as a 2010 CFO of the Year award honoree. He is a licensed CPA and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and a Master of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Vic resides in the Boston area with his family.
